Coaching With JPYO

We at JPYO pride ourselves on providing a fun, safe, family-oriented experience with our youth recreation programs. We are always seeking Coaches and Assistant Coaches who share that vision. We have been fortunate enough to have many Coaches/Assistant Coaches return year after year to help serve our teams and our families. However, we are ALWAYS in need of more Coaches/Assistant Coaches to step forward and carry the torch. If you are interested in coaching, please reach out to the Commissioner of the program you are interested in or just send an E-mail to [email protected]. We are happy to answer any questions and provide guidance to alleviate any anxiety for our new Coaches.

Soccer

We are currently seeking individuals interested in becoming a Coach or Assistant Coach for both our KickStart and County soccer programs. Registration fees for children of volunteer Coaches will be waived. Those interested in volunteering with the KickStart Program (ages 3-9) should contact KickStart Commissioner Scott Holtzer at [email protected] to express their interest.

Basketball

JPYO Leadership is currently assessing a possible return of our basketball program. We are seeking anyone who is interested in volunteering as a Coach, Assistant Coach, or any other capacity. Please contact [email protected] if interested. Practices and games would most likely be held at Jessup Elementary School.

Anne Arundel County Background Check

All volunteer Coaches/Assistant Coaches will be required to submit to a Volunteer Background Check through Anne Arundel County. Please follow this link to complete the very quick process: Anne Arundel County Background Check. There is a $7.00 fee for the background check. The background check is good for 3 years and must be renewed after that.

Once you have completed the background check, please notify the appropriate Commissioner as indicated above.
