Grants Coordinator (Vacant)

JPYO is currently looking for someone to fill a new position on the JPYO Board - Grant Coordinator.  The goal of this position will be to garner funds for the further development of JPYO's core mission - to provide a fun and safe athletic experience for youth.  This new position is an ideal opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated writer to shine.

   Responsibilities of this new Board position will include:

        Develop and maintain a portfolio of funding sources

        Write, prepare and edit new grant proposals

        Respond in a timely manner to grant renewal applications

        Follow-up grant reporting

If you or someone you know possess excellent research, writing, and analytical skills and is able to work well under deadline, this is the volunteer position for you.  Although we cannot offer a salary, we can certainly offer you lots of encouragement and the ability to make a difference!  Additionally, all Board members receive free registration for each sport.  Contact Dave Cope for more information.

Soccer Commissioner (Pete Sanchez) and Assistants (Vacant)
The position of Soccer Commissioner involves overseeing the entire soccer program.  Some of the duties you will coordinate, in cooperation with one or more Assistant Commissioners, include:

• Accepting registrations

• Assigning players to teams

• Recruiting coaches and assistant coaches

• Soliciting team sponsors

• Setting the game schedules for the clinic leagues

• Check inventory and purchase needed equipment

• Supervise the conditions of the fields

• Coordinate and/or oversee a fundraiser (if needed)

• Order team uniforms/shirts (and distribute)

Unfortunately, these are not paying positions; however, registration fees for every JPYO sport (baseball, basketball, and soccer) are covered by JPYO for all Board members.
