High school
federation rules will govern play. No personal basketballs
are allowed in the gymnasium during games or practices - NO
EXCEPTIONS.

Games will be played using a limited
full court press rule -- teams cannot press until the last four
(4) minutes of the fourth quarters.

There will be four 7 minute
quarters. Clock will run except for official time outs,
injuries and all whistles during the last minute of each half.
Overtime periods will be two (2) minutes stopping on all
whistles the last two minute of the second and fourth quarters.

Overtime periods will be two (2)
minutes. If the score is tied at the end of the second
overtime period, the third overtime period will be sudden death
-- the first team to score wins!

Teams will have
two (2) one minute time outs per game. If the game goes
into overtime each team will be awarded one additional timeout.

This is a developmental league;
teams must have at least four players to start the game.
If four players are not available to start, the game is a
forfeit.

Any player,
coach or spectator ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct will be
suspended for the next two (2) games and will not be allowed
into the gym or school area during the suspension time period.

No drinks of
any kind are allowed in the Meade Middle School Gymnasium.
Drinks must be kept in the hallway at all times. Please
respect these facilities. Do not pull any papers or other
school related materials off the walls.

Please do not
allow children to run or bounce balls during games or in the halls.

If a
child/player must use the restroom, please have an adult accompany
them. Failure to observe these rules will result in the
loss of valuable gym time and possible suspension.

Coaches are responsible for their
parents and fans attending each game.

The official scorer or game referee
shall serve as the gym supervisor for each game.

Any exceptions or modifications to
these rules must be approved by the Maryland City and JPYO
Basketball Commissioners.
